Last Monday, over 150 people attended a community meeting to discuss the Burtonsville Crossing Shopping Center. This event was planned to be the first meeting as part of a local #buildabetterBurtonsville campaign.

Over 150 people attended the meeting. Several long-time residents said this was the largest reunion of Burtonsvillians they have seen in many years.

During the meeting, we had an in-depth presentation on the history of the shopping center, the current constraints and opportunities for development, how changes in traffic and public transit will impact this space, and held a community brainstorming session about our priorities for redevelopment.

Below is a copy of the presentation that was given before we broke out into small groups.

Most of the information in the slides is available from the homepage of this website.
